GV II
Library, built in 1831, and converted into a court mid-C19. Stucco with
slate roof. Symmetrical facade has Greek Doric prostyle tetrastyle portico
with pediment and entablature with triglyph frieze. To each side is one
bay which has a blind recess with an architrave which narrows towards the
top, and a pediment. Clasping pilasters at corners. The doorway, under
a modern glass porch, has an architrave with cornice on console brackets.
The left-hand return wall, facing Leicester Street, is of three bays
separated by pilasters. The right-hand bay has a window with lugged archi-
trave. The other bays have blank recesses with architraves.
