6/2 Former Tithe Barn at The Manor House -

GV II

Tithe barn now used as storage building. Late C16. Timber frame with brick infill. Stone slate roof. West front: 15 x 3 cells of small framing with angle braces to 6th and 11th posts which divide the building into 3 equal portions of 5 cells. Partial tension bracing surviving. Two C20 doorways imposed, the original doorway in the 6th bay from the left is now bricked up. East front: similar tripartite division but with double barn doors to central 5 cells. Five cells to right obscured by C18 lean-to outhouse. Gable ends: each of 6 x 3 cells of small framing with angle and tension braces to the corners, but the north end has a C20 gable truss and a C19 extension (not listed) adjoins the gable end.
