ALLESLEY CP WASHBROOK LANE SP 28 SE 1/11 Dormer Cottage - II House. Probably mid-C17, with right-hand bay added. Timber-framing, mostly covered by pebbledash, with tile roof. One storey with attic. Three bays. Windows are C20 casements, with two on the ground floor in the left-hand bay. Three gabled attic dormers. The door, in the middle bay, is covered by a C20 porch. Gable chimneys. A roof truss exposed in the left-hand gable wall has struts between tie-beam and collar. Interior: the left-hand room contains an inglenook and has a chamfered spine beam and exposed joists. Between the second and third bays is a timber-framed wall with external weathering on its right-hand face, suggesting that the right-hand bay is an addition. In the attic the roof trusses are similar to the one exposed in the left-hand gable.
