Corner site with Burnett Street(qv)and part of the precinct known as "Little Germany". Dated 1862. Tall, plain, warehouse/office block. Four-storeys and basement, the latter as lower ground floor to Cater Street (sloping site). Sandstone ashlar above basement which has heavy vermiculated rustication and rock faced plinth. Deep ashlar sill band to main ground floor and sill bands to upper floors. Console brackets to projecting eaves cornice. Plain sash windows with thin lintels, 10 to Cater Street and 10 to Burnett Street. The basement windows have cast iron grilles. Tall pilastered doorway to right hand of Cater Street front; double panelled doors with semi-circular fanlight. Capped, fluted consoles to cornice raised in segmental curve. Cartouche above with date framed by richly carved acanthus scrolls.
