NZ 22 SW HEIGHINGTON HIGH ROAD (North side) Redworth 2/53 Water pump 20 metres south of No. 12 II Water pump. Mid C19. Cast iron. 1.3-metre tall, elaborately detailed cylindrical pump. Stem with 3 necking bands and small relief of a rampant lion. Wider fluted head has front spout with curved-down nozzle and a stop for the bucket handle; S-curved side handle with ball grip; enriched domical cap with spike finial. An elaborate and well-preserved example.
