STOURTON
The Mill House
II
Mill house. Dated 1745. Squared coursed limestone with plinth, quoins and plain
storey band. C20-tile roof with stone end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys plus
attic; 3-window range of C20 three-light casements to ground floor and two-light
casements to first floor, all with original stone flat arches. Small pointed
light to far right. C20 plank door with stone flat arch to centre right.
Datestone with moulded hood above door is inscribed '?/1745'. Three C20 gabled
dormers. C20 two-storey stone extension in imitative style to left, and large
C20 range to rear. Interior: said to have beams on first floor.
