Details
CALDECOTT CHURCH CLOSE SP 8693-8793 11/11 10.11.55 No 1. GV II
House. Dated 1729 on plaque, altered mid C19. Coursed ironstone rubble, slate roof, pale limestone gable copings, ashlar limestone chimneys with pulvinated friezes and cyma recta cornices to gables. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 2 bay front. C19 sash windows; narrow sash to centre over C20 door. All openings have Uppingham stone lintels. C20 paired wooden casements to first floor and attic of left gable end. Former outbuilding to right with Uppingham stone dressings and Collyweston slate roof. 2 storeys, with chamfered plinth and flush first floor band course. One bay of 2-light wooden casements, the lower in blocked doorway.
