Details

FRITTENDEN ROCK HILL TQ 74 SE (east side) 2/39 Rock Farm House 20.6.67 II House. Circa 1700. Red and blue brick and half-framed clad with tile hanging, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic on plinth with plat band. Roof with 2 gabled dormers. Moulded stacks projecting and offset at end left and at end right. Regular fenestration of 2 three light wooden casements with central 2 light casement on 1st floor, and 4 light wooden casement to left and 3 light to right on ground floor, both with segmental heads. Central door of 3 moulded panels with rectangular fanlight and moulded wooden pediment-hood. Rear with half-hipped wing and catslide outshot, both integral to main block, with 2 irregular wooden and old metal casements. Interior: large inglenooks, with slight coved overmantels; stop chamfered ceiling beams; dog leg stair, without handrail at time of survey.
