The Old Star Inn
II
Public house. Late C18, rebuilt mid C19, Rubble and dressed magnesian
limestone, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows to 1st floor; lower wing
to rear right, Ground floor of left-hand part has earlier rubble walling
with quoins on left and has stone steps to door with 4-pane overlight beneath
flat arch on right of a 16-pane sash with projecting stone sill and flat
arch; later walling to 1st floor with similar sash beneath eaves. Right-hand
part has 6-panel door and 4-pane overlight beneath flat arch flanked by
windows on each floor as before, the 1st-floor windows with flat arches
beneath eaves. Cement-rendered end stacks; central brick ridge stack, C20
toilet block to rear-left not of special interest.
