GV II
House, formerly farmhouse. Early/mid C18 with C19 additions, and C19 and late
C20 alterations. Flemish bond brick with dog-tooth cornice and painted stone
string course. Tile roof; brick end stacks. U-plan, with wings to rear and small
range to right. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Panelled door with
decorative overlight in painted moulded wood surround has pitched hood with
dentil cornice on shaped brackets. Ground floor has 16-pane sashes. First floor
has late C20 top hung windows with glazing bars in reduced openings. Painted
stone flat arches, with keystones to ground floor. 2 hipped roof dormers have
2-light casements with glazing bars and moulded cornice. C19 additions to right
have 3 small windows. Left return side to Birdingbury Road is a 3-bay range.
Ground floor has a 16-pane sash on the left and a central late C20 window.
Early/mid C20 casements above. Third bay is blind. Interior not inspected.
