House incorporating shop, with former coach-house and stable now store. Early C19 with later C19-early C20 shopfront. Squared limestone with brick dressings and stacks. Pantile roof. 2 storeys, 6 bays: 4-bay house incorporating shop to left (No 1 High Street), with coach-house/stable to right (rear of No 21 Market Street). Rounded brick angle to right, stepped- out to first floor corner. C20 door to left of centre flanked by shopfront to left with pilasters supporting frieze, cornice and hood, and two 16-pane flush sashes to right beneath stucco flat arches. Segmental-arched carriage entrance to right with brick surround; small segmental-arched ventilation hatch to right end. First floor: four 12-pane sliding sashes to left under timber lintels; plank door and 2 breather slits to right. Hipped roof. Left return to Market Street, adjoining No 21 (Weir House), has 16-pane ground floor sash and 6-pane first floor casement, both under stucco flat arches. Included for group value.
