Planned terrace of houses. Late C18/early C19. Stucco except
where replaced with render; dry slate roofs, most with hipped
roof dormers and brick end stacks; original rainwater heads
and downpipes to Nos 108-118. Double-depth plan, each house
with front room and entrance hall to one side of it.
3 storeys plus attics over basement; houses to left each with
3-window range, those to right each with 2-window range. Nos
116 and 118 have original hornless sashes with glazing bars,
otherwise later horned sashes. Pilastered doorways with
entablature; panelled doors and reveals, the doorways of Nos
102-108 with doorways in pairs, those of Nos 106 and 108
adjoining.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: low plinths on basement walls surmounted
by wrought-iron railings with turned finials to the
stanchions.
Part of a planned late Georgian street, laid out in 1773.
Area railings listed on 01/05/75.
