Cottage. Late C16 with late C17 extension and C20 alterations and
extension. Painted brick with tiled roofs. Late C16 block running
north-south to west of late C17 block running east-west, C20 extensions
to east and south of C17 block, outshut to west of C16 block with
central stair tower. 2 storey C17 and C20 blocks in centre with 1
storey C20 block to east and one and a half storey C16 block to west;
central ridge chimney to C16 block, ridge chimney at east end of C17
block. North Elevation:- 1 storey extension to left with hipped
roof and 1 and 2-light casements; 2 storey block to centre with 2
mullion and transom windows on first floor, one window and entrance
door to right on ground floor, C16 block breaks forward to right with
half hip over 3-light casement over 2-light casement. Interior:-
C16 block of one long and one short bay timber frame with large central
chimney including back to back fireplaces,that to north with bread oven,
staircase rises beside and over chimney on west. Lobby on east suggesting
former lobby entry plan.
