The Old Dutch House

G.V. II

Cottage, now house. Late C16, altered and extended mid C20. Timber frame with painted brick infill, old tile gabled roof. Long rectangular plan with extensions at rear. One and a half storeys. Tall chimney with clay pot on roof slope facing war memorial. North-west front: late C19 and early C20 casement windows, some leaded. 3 gabled roof dormers, that on the left larger with 3-light window, the other two have 2-light windows. Ground floor, scattered fenestration within timber framing. One 2-light and one 4-light window on right hand. Two 2-light windows coupled, near centre. Later left hand section set back slightly with small 3-light window on pond floor and a similar window on the upper level. Interior: very arch altered, with little of the older building visible.
