Details
1. CLAREMONT ROAD
5130 Nos 1 to 6 (consec) SU 9676 SW 5/138 II GV 2. Three pairs of circa 1840-50 houses. 3 storeys and basements. Stuccoed on rendered, ground floors of Nos 5 and 6 retaining grooving. One window each in slight central break to each front. 1st floor sill courses. Marginal glazed sashes, tripartite on ground floor with cornices over, consoles to those of Nos 5 and 6, and ornate iron flower guards - architrave surrounds to single sashes on upper floors. Recessed one window entrance bays with pilastered porches in antis. Hipped slate roofs with flat eaves, long brackets to those of Nos 5 and 6. Included for group interest. Nos 1to 10 (consec) form a group with Nos 1 to 23 (consec) and Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Place.
