House. C17 wings forming L-plan, with C19 wing in angle and further
extensions to S. N.E. wing has exposed timber frame with thin brick
infill and rubble stone plinth. S.W. wing and C19 wing are rendered.
Other extensions are of brick. Old tile roofs, C19 ornamental bargeboards.
Chimney at junction of original wings is of C17 brick with 2 square
shafts set diagonally. C19 chimney in matching style with 3 shafts
between S.W. and C19 wings. 2 storeys. Front to road is of 3 bays, the
left gabled and slightly projecting with barred sash windows to each floor.
Similar sash over small low 2-light casement in centre bay, remainder blank.
S.W. front has 2 gabled bays with sash windows and central door in C20 porch.
Interior: C17 staircase with moulded handrail, turned balusters, and
square newel posts with ball finials and pendents; plainer flights to
cellar and attic; ovolo moulded spine beams with elaborately carved stops
in N. corner rooms; stop-chamfered spine beams in other rooms.
