Details
WOKINGHAM SHUTE END SU 8068 NE (North side) 17/8 No.3 12.11.51 G.V. II Cottage. Late C16 altered and extended early C18 and mid C20. Timber framed, partly encased in painted brick, partly painted stucco. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 3 framed bays, part of frame visible at rear. 2 storeys, attic, and cellar. Chimneys with clay pots on left and right, just in front of ridge. Wooden modillion eaves. 3 sash windows on both floors in architrave surrounds, those on first floor with glazing bars. Half glazed and panelled entrance door between first and second windows from left, under flat hood with cut brackets. This together with No.1 Shute End (listed separately 17/ 7) may have been formerly part of No.43 Broad Street (listed separately 18/4 and 17/3).
