8/17 The Mitford 1.6.52 G.V. II

House. C18 extended C19. Rendered, old tile gabled roof. 2 storeys. One chimney on ridge left of centre, and one flanking on right. Road front: 2 bays sash windows on left with glazing altered and 6-panelled door in right hand bay; windows have Venetian shutters. One similar bay set back on right with chimney on gable end, and one storey projection to left; both are C19 extensions. Miss Mitford 1820-51 lived here. V.C.H. Vol.3.p.261.
