Details
REMENHAM SU 78 SE 1/5 Remenham Court (formerly listed as Remenham Lodge). 26.1.67 II Large house. C.1830-1840. Painted stucco, cornice to parapet with moulded coping, slate hipped roof behind, first floor string. 2 storeys. West front: 2 segmental bows the whole height with string and cornice carried round, one 3-light sash window with glazing bars on each floor, the uppers with sun-blind cascs, flanking upper radiating and concentric bull's eye window in moulded architrave surround; Ground floor 3-light sashes with centre light altered to French casements, arched window in centre, all covered by an Ionic verandah now glazed, on outer piers, and central columns, all supporting entablature. Wing of one bay to left hand. South front: similar with chimney on left, 3 upper sash windows with glazing bars and Ionic porch roughly in centre on ground floor, 2 piers, 2 columns in antis and entablature. B.O.E.
