GV II*

Farmhouse. Early C17 and late Cl7. Rubble-stone and dressed stone walls. Thatch roof, hipped at left hand and gabled at right hand with a stone gable-coping. Ridge of roof slopes up higher at right hand end. Brick stacks, at left hand ridge, and right hand gable- end. 2 storeys (differing heights). c.5 windows, 3- and 4-light stone mullions, hollow-chamfered, with separate labels over. 2 right hand end windows: 3- and 4- light mullions (ovolos). Separate labels over. Iron casements with leaded lights. 2 doorways, left hand, plank. Right hand plank with single light. Breeze-block porches. Outshut to south part, with a continuous catslide roof. South gable wall has 2-light and single-light stone mullions. Interior: deep-chamfered, compartmented ceiling beams. 2 plank- and-muntin screens, with straight-chamfered muntins. 2 altered open fireplaces. A depressed-arch stone fireplace with slight-chamfered jambs in upper end. Stone spiral stair in beside the fireplace. Stone fireplace upstairs with depressed-arch head, and pyramid- stopped jambs.
