Road bridge over River Axe. Circa C17. Possibly built in 1824 for Sir Alexander Hood. Dressed lias stone with Ham stone copings to level parapets, chamfered. Three roughly semi-circular arches. Two piers in the water with cut-waters, and abutments in the banks. Outward splays at each end, extended on SW corner towards Forde Abbey, Dorset (qv). Full-height angled cutwaters on east side, on west side angled only below arch springing. Single track width.
