7/64 Old School House and The Old School
II GV
Former School House and attached School, now two private dwellings. Dated 1863 on south porch. Brick walls, in Flemish bond, with alternating stone quoins. Clay tile roofs with gable end to front of School House, and School building gabled at north and south ends. 3 clustered octagonal stacks at inner north gable. The School House (north end) has a gabled porch with segmental headed doorway and plank door. Then the gabled bay, with a canted bay window to ground of 3 light hollow chamfered stone mullions to front, and one on each return. Cast iron casements with 3 centred heads. First floor has a 2 light mullion window with cast iron casements and separate label over. The attached School, formerly of one storey with C20 dormers inserted is 2 windows wide, 3 light hollow chamfered stone mullions with separate labels over. The 2 dormers are of 3 lights, casements trying to match the C19 fenestration, C20. Gabled porch at south end, with segmental doorway, C20 glazed door. Date stone with 1863 over.
