Farmhouse, of villa type, c.1840. Brick walls in Flemish bond.
Brick plinth and plat band between ground and first floors. Hipped
slate roof with projecting boxed eaves and parallel ridges. Three brick
stacks, in clusters of 4 shafts at party walls on the ridges.
Central porch on south wall, brick with dog tooth cornices. Two
storeys. 3 windows sashes with thin glazing-bars, stone cills and
gauged brick voussoirs crown glass, C19, those at ground floor front
replaced with plastic imitations, C20. Porch doorway has a round-arched
entrance. Inner door is flush panelled and glazed, C19. Side
walls, 3 windows, sashes with thin glazing-bars, C19. Interior:
double fronted and double depth plan. C19 window shutters, 4 panel
doors. Rear service range, with brick walls and a hipped slate roof
with stack on ridge, originally comprised scullery (door), beer
cellar (door), loft door, wood stone (door) and privy (door). All
doorways have gauged brick arches over.
