Details
HIGH STREET 1. 5193 (east side) No 19 (Albion Hotel SU 0000 SE 2/49 and Chandlers Wine Shop). SU 0100 SW 2/49 14.6.52 (formerly listed as Albion Hotel) II GV 2. Part of the former New Inn. C18. Main elevation has rendered walls. Tiled roof with stone course at eaves. Two storeys and attics. Arched opening between this building and the Square Post Office, leading to yard at rear. Pedimented hood on console brackets to arch. Modern shop front. First floor has 2 double hung sash windows. North elevation facing yard has mainly modern doors and windows. Range of single storey outbuildings at rear, with brick walls and tiled roofs. Interior not accessible, but according to RCHM it contains a staircase similar to that in No 15. RCHM Monument 34
