Integrated worsted spinning mill, now works. 1872-5 with later alterations. Designed by John Shaw for Issac Briggs. Red brick with polychromatic brick details and Welsh slate roofs. Carding sheds to east have main front to Bridge Street with blind facade of 10 rounded arches under stepped parapet, the central 5 arches taller. To right additional 2 storey 3 window range with stepped gable and 3 inset panels with 3 segment headed upper windows. Side facade to Tootal Street has irregular 2 storey front with inset panels, off-centre inserted doorway and segment headed windows to ground floor, and 5 similar windows above. Slate roofs with glazed strips and circular iron ventilators. Beyond spinning mill, 4 storeys, 6 x 12 windows. Each facade has round headed windows to ground floor and segment headed windows to first and second floors, with smaller segment headed windows to top floor, all with coloured brick voussoirs. Stair towers project at either end of west front, later added toilet block to east front and lift shaft added to south. Office range to west has facade to Tootal Street 3 storey, 10 windows with similar decoration to mill, with round headed windows to ground floor and segment headed windows to first floor and similar smaller windows above. West front has top floor bridge linking to warehouse building beyond. Warehouse has 3 storeys and similar though slightly plainer decoration, 3 windows to north, then curved front with 4 similar windows. Inner courtyard has single storey dyehouse with large wooden louvred vent on roof, smaller workshop and stump of octagonal brick chimney. INTERIOR of spinning mill has wooden floors and beams supported on circular cast iron columns. Carding sheds have steel framed tension roofs.
