II
Former farmhouse. Early C18. Brick in Flemish bond, with rusticated stone quoins and moulded stone window cills. Clay pantile roof with parapeted gable ends and moulded eaves cornice. Large brick gable end stacks. PLAN: Double depth with two principal front rooms and central entrance/stair hall and service rooms in 2-storey integral oushut at the rear; the outshut extended at rear right [NE].
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 5-bay south front. Tall narrow windows with cambered brick arches, moulded stone cills and restored cross-mullion-transom frames. Doorway at centre with flush-panel door and C20 rendered porch. Main roof carried down over 2-storey outshut at rear; outshut extended on left [NE]. INTERIOR: Central entrance hall with staircase with moulded balusters, square newels and moulded handrail. Fielded panel doors. Left hand front room has fielded-panel chimney-breast and moulded and dentilled ceiling cornice.
