Footbridge over trunk road. 1964. Kent County Council, J.S. Bergg, County Bridge Engineer. Prestressed concrete. Post-tensioned arch. First of several similar bridges built in Kent. An elegant example of an arch over dual carriageway. Crosses cutting at top of hill and closes notch in skyline. (Eight bridges in Kent: Bergg J A: 1973-; Bridges of Britain: de Mare E: Batsford: 1975-).
