15/180 Nos 1 and 2 Manor Cottages (formerly 26.1.56 listed as "Pair of cottages immediately SE of Spring Cottage")

Pair of semi-detached cottages. Probably C17. No. 2 extended to west in C18. No. 1 at left end has walls part brick, part plastered on base of part stone, part stone and flint banding: half hipped thatched roof. One brick stack in centre and one at junction with No. 2. One storey and attic. Part glazed ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casements with centre horizontal bar, and 2 small plain casements. Attic has 3 dormers with casements with centre horizontal bar. No. 2 has walls part plastered, on brick, stone and flint base - with the C18 extension in brick and flint banding. Thatched roof - shared stack at left end. One storey and attic. Part glazed ledged door. Ground floor has one casement with centre horizontal bar, and 2 small plain casements. Attic has 2 dormers with casements with centre horizontal bar. (RCHM Monument 7.
