GV II
Three coffin-type stone monuments to members of the Hardy family. One to Mary, daughter of Thomas and Jemima Hardy, 1914. One containing the heart of Thomas Hardy (author) 1928 - son of Thomas and Jemima - also to Emma, his first wife, 1912, and Florence, his second wife, 1937. One to Thomas Hardy, 1892 and Jemima his wife 1904. All three similar in design, consisting of a solid "hipped" slab set on 2 moulded steps. Included for historic interest.
