GV II

Farmhouse. Late C18. Brick walls, with dentil cornice at eaves. Tiled roof, half hipped at left end, one brick stack at right end, one at rear near left end. 2 storeys and attic. Centre section projects slightly, with pediment rising above eaves, - this also with brick dentil cornice. C20 glazed porch, with pair of C20 part glazed doors, under segmental arch with stone keystone. Ground floor has 2 C20 metal casements under similar arches. 3 similar windows on first floor. Small circular window in pediment. Attic has 2 hipped dormers with casements with horizontal glazing bars. Rear wing has plastered walls and tiled roof, of 2 storeys and attic. Attached to this at rear a range of single storey outbuildings, of brick and tile. Internally, some raised panelled doors. Sited in the centre of a Scheduled Ancient Monument (M18). (R.C.H.M. Monument 14. Dorset Vol V).
