1. 5193 PAMPHILL PAMPHILL GREEN Manor Cottage ST 90 SE 3/61 2.11.82 II 2. Late C16 early C17. Walls part timber-framed with brick infil, part cob, part brick. Thatched roof, brick stack - this and the north gable wall recently rebuilt. Originally a two-room cottage with open hall with smoke-bay, and service rooms with loft over. In late C17-C18 the hall floored over and chimney inserted in smoke-bay. One storey and attic. Late single-storey lean-to on west, brick walls, part plastered, under thatched catslide roof. Main east elevation has ledged door and two casement windows with glazing bars. Internally, fireplace largely reconstructed but old lintol re-used. Exposed chamfered ceiling beams in main ground floor room - not framed into main structure. Timber-framed partitions with wattle and daub infil on ground floor and attic.
