Details

CORFE CASTLE EAST STREET (West side) SY 96 81 8/73 Nos. 98 and 100 (formerly listed as part of "Range of 4 20.11.59 cottages immediately south of Nos, 101 and 102") GV II Pair of cottages in terrace. Probably early C19 (RCHM) but may be of earlier origin. Rubble stone walls, slate roofs, one shared brick stack and one at left end of No. 100. 2 storeys. Each cottage has a C20 battened door under brick arch, and, on ground floor, one stone mullioned window with lead lights and one casement that to No. 98 with cast iron glazing and that to No. 100 with glazing bars. On first floor, each cottage has 2 casements, those to No. 98 with cast iron glazing, those to No. 100 with glazing bars. All casements under brick arches. (RCHM, Monument 67. Dorset. Vol. II).
