Detached farmhouse. C17 origin, enlarged in Cl9. Brick walls, roofs part tiled, part slated. Brick end and centre stacks. T-shaped plan. 2 storeys and attic. Original section has slate roof with coped gables. Ground and first floors each have 2 double-hung segmental-headed sash windows with glazing bars. Stack at junction of the 2 sections has diagonal shafts. Later section has tiled roof. Glazed door in trellised porch. Ground and first floors each have 2 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Attic has one hipped dormer with casements. Rear wing - early Cl9 - has slate roof. Tiled-roofed verandah on south; double-hung sash windows.

Walled garden north of house has cob walls with slate capping. RCHM Monument 16 .
