GV II

Pair of cottages. C16, C17 and later. Of 2 storeys and timber framed and plastered with gabled pegtile roof. 2 small ridge line stacks and front has C19 small pane casements. Morningside has C20 flat roofed glazed porch. Originally of single storey form with reversed assembly at east end and raised to one storey and attics in mid C17 and again to 2 storeys, later. Middle phase has halved and bladed scarf joints and tenoned junction between tie beam and top plates. One C17 moulded plank door, in-situ and inserted mid C17 floor. Included primarily for group value.
