TOLLESBURY MELL ROAD TL 90 NE (west side) 6/29 The Wobbin - II
Pair of cottages, now combined. Late C18/early C19. Timber framed and plastered, partly tile-hung, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing SW with internal stack at each end. Cl9 single-storey extension at right end, with internal end stack, roofed with machine-made red clay tiles. Lean-to shed at left end, timber framed and weatherboarded, roofed with red clay 'Rowan' tiles, now a garage. One storey with attics. 4 C20 casements, and 4 more in lean-to dormers, slated above and at sides. One C20 half-glazed door, one plain boarded door with shallow hood on profiled brackets, plain boarded door in right extension. Gambrel roof. Left chimney shaft cement-rendered. Rear elevation hung with C19 red clay tiles. Face-halved and bladed scarf in rear wallplate. C20 grates.
