3/63 Pockerley Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse. Probably mid C18 with C19 alterations. Squared rubble, Welsh slate
roof and dressed stone chimney stacks. Farmhouse adjoins left return of
Pockerley pele tower (q.v.).
Two storeys, three bays with flush quoins at left. Central replaced 6-panel door and
overlight under flush lintel. Replaced margined sashes in C19 openings with
flush lintels and projecting sills. Steeply-pitched roof has slightly-swept
eaves. Raised left verge with reverse-stepped gable. Left end and ridge
stacks with top bands. Low 2-storey added rear outshut, with scattered sashes
and central gabled porch, continues across farmhouse and pele tower.
