6/12 Dovecote,120 metres north of Headlam Hall
II
Dovecote. C17 or earlier. Sandstone rubble exterior and dressed sandstone interior. Circular plan, about 5 metres in diameter. Tapering, slightly-convex elevation, about 4 metres high, has two stages defined by projecting stone bands. Small opening at ground level has chamfered surround. Interior has nesting boxes and alighting ledges. Domed roof of rubble has collapsed into interior.
Derelict at time of survey.
