GV II 2 houses and barn. Clark Hill Cottage dated 1374 over entrance and Clark Hill is late C18 both with C19 alterations. Mixed sandstone rubble walls partly covered incised roughcast. Clark Hill also painted. Graduated greenslate roofs with banded limestone partly roughcast chimney stacks. Clark Hill Cottage of 2 storeys, 3 bays and left 2-bay barn under common roof. Clark Hill 2 storeys, 4 bays of slightly lower roof line. Clarke Hill Cottage has central C20 door in painted stone architrave under enriched scroll frieze incorporating the initials: 'L & DH' with moulded cornice. Double sash windows in C19 painted stone surrounds. Barn has right segmental-arched cart entrance with small open- ing above and left slit vent. Clark Hill has off-centre C20 door and overlight in C19 painted stone surround. Further left plank door in C18 painted stone surround. Double and triple sash windows in C19 painted stone surrounds. Left ground floor casement windows in C18 painted stone surrounds. From the rear the right return wall of Clark Hill Cottage can be seen to have blocked small chamfered surround windows. The part of the barn now belonging to the adjoining General Stores is not included in the listing.
