Details

SOUTH BEDBURN HOWLEA LANE NZ 13 SW (East side, off) 11/165 Farm buildings attached to High Burnlea farmhouse GV II Farm buildings for High Burnlea farmhouse (q.v.). Probably late C18. Sandstone rubble with quoins; pantiled roofs. Long barn attached to right return of house; 2 long ranges project from barn, and form fold yard enclosed by wall continuous with front gables of projecting ranges. 2-storey barn has Dutch door in bay next to house; to right of this the projecting range has door, long blank wall, and small square light on outer return; front gables of projections blank except for one small opening at right. Fold yard wall contains C20 double boarded vehicle door and high small square opening. C20 roof on fold yard not of interest.

Barn has small pent extension at right with pantiled roof. First bay of barn occupied by tenant of farmhouse. Interior not inspected.
