23/58 Barn to north- east of Village Hall 22.7.76 GV II Outbuildings. Probably early and mid C18 with C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble with quoins and ashlar dressings; roofs pantiles, part with stone at eaves, and corrugated iron on rear slope; stone-flagged roof on rear wing. 2 builds, the left higher; 2 storeys, 6 bays in all. 3-bay left part has quoins at right; boarded vehicle door at left, under iron lintel with wood lintel above extending over central 2-light wood-mullioned casement with cast iron lattice glazing bars. Similar windows above, with wood lintel, and in right part at centre of first floor. This part has boarded doors, under flat stone lintels and with irregular-block jambs, in outer bays, and at head of side stone steps to first floor of third bay. 2 ventilation slits at left on first-floor. Roof of second build more steeply pitched, with stone flags on swept eaves. Square chimney with top string at right of first build. Left return has stone steps to first-floor 2-panel door. Right return has small square window with large flat lintel on ground floor, and ventilation slits in gable peak. Rear elevation has lower 2-storey gabled wing to first build.
