EGGLESTON PROSPECT TERRACE NY92SE (West end) 19/27 Flight of steps with flanking wall and retaining wall GV II Flight of steps giving pedestrian access to terrace of houses, with flanking walls and handrail attached. Mid C19 for London Lead Company. Coursed dry sandstone rubble walls, wrought-iron posts and handrail, and ashlar steps. Long curved flight of steps from lane to west of Prospect Terrace; c. 4-metre- high wall to lane, with flat stone lintel over entrance to steps, and retaining wall to same height on east side of steps, both with rubble coping. Plain round-section handrail attached to east wall by iron eyes and 2 posts. A good example of dry stone construction.
