GV II
Farm buildings around foldyard. East range with smithy probably late C17, barn in west range later C18, other parts C19. Coursed rubble; east range has roughly-shaped quoins and cut dressings, other parts have cut quoins and dressings; stone slate roofs (except for Lakeland slates, with stone slates to eaves, on east range).
East range: East elevation 2 storeys, 3 irregular bays; boarded door and 3 blocked doorways to ground floor, boarded, loft door in stone surround and 3 small segmental-headed windows in keyed stone surrounds. North end shows large projecting stack; south end shows pent C19 cartshed with 2 part-blocked elliptical arches. West elevation, to foldyard, shows another segmental- headed window.
North range is 4-bay shelter shed; elliptical-arched arcade to yard, and one similar arch to rear.
West range: barn has stable door in alternating-block surround and pitching door to left; lower stable to left has stable door between inserted windows. Similar doorway and 2 tiers of slit vents to rear of barn,now inside wheel- house.
Wheelhouse on west of barn has cart entrance under timber lintel on south, gabled west elevation with small window, and buttress,with blocked doorway to left, on north.
C20 wooden outbuildings, and altered stable adjoining north end of barn, are not of special interest.
