ROMALDKIRK MIDDLE GREEN NY 9922 (North side, off) 29/170 Inset Waite headstone, 3.0 metres south of Church of St.Romald II

Large headstone. 1808 to Jerry Waite. Sandstone.

Tripartite curved top with raised edge has relief of 3 urns linked by garlands. Front-inscribed: In memory of Jerry Waite, Son of John and Nanny Waite, who departed this life January 30th 1808 Aged 4 years and 8 months. Reverse inscribed: Though short my life and mournful was my death: grieve not that early I resigned my breath: The dying Child injoys his Makers love: And lives with Angels in The reilms above.
