Details
LUNEDALE B6276, Thringarth NY 92 SW (South side, off) 9/121 Thringarth Farmhouse and farm buildings to left II Farmhouse and attached farmbuildings. Circa 1840. Squared rubble. Stone- flagged roofs and stone chimney stacks.
2-storey, 3-bay house, facing road, has tooled-and-margined quoins. Central replaced 6-panel door in gabled trellis porch. 2-pane sash above; flanking 12- pane sashes. Windows with flush lintels and projecting sills. Roof with coped gables. Left end and right ridge stack with top bands and water tables.
Long single-storey range, attached to left, has flush quoins. Boarded door and C20 casement to right. Left return: 2 boarded openings and boarded door in flush surround with moulded lintel.
Rear of house: replaced boarded door and 4-pane overlight in right bay; 12-pane sashes in middle bay; left bay, formerly a stable and a loft, has a Dutch door with boarded opening above, both in flush tooled-and-margined surrounds.
Rear of attached range: partly-blocked cart entrance to left with inserted boarded door and fixed light; 3 Dutch doors and a 9-pane casement to right.
C20 addition, attached to left bay of house, is not of special interest.
