EYTHORNE THE STREET TR 24 NE (South Side) 4/33 Clare Cottage and The Old Post Office GV II Cottage pair. C18 altered late C19. Red brick, part painted, part rendered and with applied timbering. Plain tiled and slate roof. Two storeys with brick eaves cornice to left, wooden eaves cornice to right and central stack. Irregular fenestration of 1 sash and 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor, and 1 sash and 2 glazing bar sashes on ground floor. Door of 6 panels, the top 2 glazed, to centre right with pediment on pilasters. Glazed door to centre left, and glazed gabled shop front at end left. Included for group value.
