Details
LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/102 Rectory II Rectory. Dated 1841 in panel to right gable. Fine sandstone ashlar to coped gables, plain tile roof, group of 5 diagonal stacks left, 2 on left gable and 3 in valley, all these with individual heavy moulded cappings and on simple plinths. A twin-gabled Tudor gothic design in two storeys. 3-windowed, 2-light over 3-light casements with horizontal bars and 4-centre heads to lights, transoms to ground floor, all in wood to plain chamfer surround; central Tudor doorway with stopped drip and plain spandrels, glazed C19 door with side panels and transom set back, up 3 steps. In left gable a shield with talbot, and right with date. Long service wing, left; stair turret and second entrance adjacent to external stack. Rear elevation similar to front, 2-light over blank, 2 and 3-light.
