LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/92 Monument to --- MATTHEWS in the churchyard c8m north of corner of north aisle chapel of church of St Mary - II Chest tomb. Early C18. Sandstone. A large ledger slab with inscription in two columns, moulded edge, plain panels to chest, and moulded base partly sunk at time of survey, September 1983. Inscription includes --- Matthews, 1737. This memorial lies 2m east of the Dorthy Berro--- memorial (qv).
