Details

LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/75 Monument to MORSE in the churchyard c9m south of the south-east corner of the choir vesty of the church of St Mary - II Pedestal tomb. Late C18 or early C19. Sandstone. A square tomb with ogee profile domed top, now without terminal urn, with inset corners and moulded edge over fluted frieze with rosettes, raised panels with moulded edge, moulded base on plinth and curb with some remains of spear-head iron railings, mainly to north and east sides. No date legible, but inscription includes ---- MORSE.
