Details
1. EAST HANNINGFIELD THE TYE 5213 (West Side) EAST HANNINGFIELD Rails Farmhouse TL 70 SE 14/89 29,12.52. II GV 2 A C16 timber-framed and plastered house built on an L-shaped plan, with a cross wing at the east end, The upper storey of the cross wing is jettied on the north front. 2 storeys. The fenestration is C18, double-hung sashes with glazing barn, 3 window range on the north front, the ground .storey windows are 3-light. On the 1st storey of the cross wing there are 2 original small 3-light windows with moulded mullions. Roof tiled, hipped at the south end of the crossing. On the east side there is a large external chimney breast with an embattled offset and 2 square shafts diagonally set. The interior has exposed timber-framing and a 4-centered arched open fireplace. (RCHW 3).
Rain Farmhouse and The Windmill Inn with The Post Office and The Old Forge form a group (The Post Office is a building of local interest).
