TL 63 NE STEEPLE BUMPSTEAD 4/2 Bridge approx. 21/6/62 10 metres S of Latchleys Farmhouse GV II

Bridge over moat, early C16. Red brick and lime mortar. In 2 spans with cutwaters on both sides, and splayed walls approx. 3 metres long at the S end, vertical abutment at the N end. Both arches of 2-centred curvature. Copings of inverted V-shape, made in the solid of fired clay. At the N end, C18 brick walls abut at each side, overall length approx. 17 metres. RCHM 7.
